New OneKind Runners' Club launches in partnership with the FSI Challenge

The sun's been peeping through the clouds these last few days, telling us that it's officially springtime: that is, time to emerge from hibernation and dust off those running shoes!

We're proud to announce the launch of the OneKind Runners' Club, a free club for anyone who wants to raise money for Advocates for Animals by taking part in a sponsored run anywhere in the world.

Whether you're challenging yourself to a full marathon or simply doing a few breathless laps of the back garden, do it for animals: get your family and friends to sponsor you and help fund our vital work on behalf of the world's animals in need.

If you would like to get fit and take part in an organised run (or even a walk) for Advocates for Animals, but you’re not sure where to take part, the OneKind Runners' Club has launched in partnership with the FSI Challenge 2010. This June, the gates of Thornbridge Hall in Derbyshire swing open as small charities come together for the FSI Challenge, a day that mixes fundraising and family fun to benefit small charities right across the UK. The Challenge is a fun run or walk with 4 and 10 km courses that are suitable for all ages with a reasonable level of fitness. The route takes you through some of the most scenic parts of the Peak District, after which you can relax in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall, the country home of FSI chair Emma Harrison.

If you don't fancy a trip to Derbyshire, we'd be more than happy to offer you advice on organised runs taking place near you.

Joining the Runners' Club is free, and you will receive an information pack loaded with useful information, tips on getting running, and fundraising ideas and resources, as well as a branded T-shirt to run in on your big day.

Once you’ve completed your run, you'll be sent a certificate of achievement and an invitation to our Runners' Party in the Autumn.
