Advocates for Animals has launched a groundbreaking new campaign, OneKind. OneKind recognises, celebrates and promotes the fact that animals have feelings.
New research reveals that 91% of people believe that animals can feel. If you have a pet or have watched a wildlife documentary this will come as no surprise to you. Whether it’s the joyful play of a puppy, the maternal bond between a lioness and her cubs, or the grief of an elephant for a lost family member, common sense and experience have long told us that animals are capable of feeling.
OneKind aims to build on the connections between people, animals and the natural world in a positive, inspiring and practical way. HumanKind. AnimalKind. OneKind.
At the campaign launch, Advocates for Animals’ CEO, Fiona Ogg, said: “It’s time we recognise the fact that animals feel and change the way we live alongside them. Animal cruelty and suffering are nearly always avoidable if there is the will to stop them. There is a way. We hope our OneKind campaign will create a real movement for change for all animals.”
